Don't Drive Tired Rooms

Excessive tiredness when driving can have disastrous consequences. If after a long shift you feel that you have difficulty concentrating, keeping your eyes open, or you can feel yourself falling asleep, you need to rest before you attempt your drive home. You must not drive until you’re free from excessive sleepiness.

Residence 11 currently has two “don’t drive tired” rooms (rooms 1005 and 1006) available for staff to use if you feel that you need a rest following a long shift before travelling home. Each room has three recliners situated within them and staff are able to utilise the use of the communal bathrooms.

Please note – they are not to be used as an on-call room or for overnight stays.

For further information and enquiries, please contact the the Accommodation Team at: medwayft.property@nhs.net or out of hours Security.
