GP TRAINING

Welcome to the General Practice Vocational Training Scheme for GP Specialist postgraduate doctors at Medway.

Welcome to GP Training at Medway

The Medway General Practice Vocational Training Scheme is a three year programme, combining hospital and General Practice experience that finishes with a year in General Practice.

Your Educational Supervisor for Specialty Training is a GP Trainer who you will be in touch with throughout the three years and he or she will facilitate your development as a GP.

The hospital jobs in your ST1 and ST2 years will be designed to give you experience in the areas useful for General Practice  such as:

  • ENT

  • Psychiatry

  • Palliative Care

  • Sexual Health

  • Paediatrics

  • Geriatric Medicine

  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology

  • Emergency Medicine
