Here at Medway we offer a wide range of opportunities for undergraduate medical students to develop and enhance their skills through a range of learning experiences.

Medway NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is able to offer Elective opportunities to International Undergraduate medical students and those students from other UK Medical Schools outside our contractual obligations. There are a variety of Specialty Placements at the Medway Maritime Hospital site in Gillingham (Medway), within Directorates already equipped to support undergraduates from GKT School of Medical Education and Kent & Medway Medical School (KMMS).

There is a non refundable £100 application fee once you have submitted the application form. Currently we are updating our guidelines and fees for International (non British Citizens) Elective Placements for medical students. Once finalised these will be available via the website. In the meantime please complete the application form below to express interest.
