Health Education England - Kent Sussex & Surrey
Health Education England working across Kent, Surrey and Sussex, is responsible for the education, training and workforce planning for all NHS staff. Working closely with them and other key stakeholders, MFT ensures that education and learning is driven by patient needs.
General Medical Council
The GMC regulates all stages of doctors’ training and professional development in the UK. MFT adheres to their standards to ensure the quality of safe, effective patient care is at the heart of education and training for undergraduates and postgraduates health care professionals.
Local Faculty Group & Local Academic Board – Terms of Reference
The Gold guide is a reference Guide for Postgraduate Specialty Training in the UK and is applicable to all trainees (StRs) taking up appointments in specialty (including GP) training which commenced on or after 1 August 2007.
Duty of Candour
The professional duty of candour requires every healthcare professional to be open and honest with patients when something that goes wrong with their treatment or care causes, or has the potential to cause, harm or distress.
